Huge congratulations to London Wasps winger, Christian Wade after scooping a unique double at the Rugby Players' Association awards!
The young ace was crowned the Players Player and the Young Player of the Year, an accolade only Jonny Wilkinson has received before now, although he won both RPA awards in different years. Wilkinson won the young player trophy in 1999 and the main award in 2003.
2013 has been a fantastic year for Christian. He scored 18 tries in 26 appearances and finished level with his team-mate Tom Varndell as the Premiership's joint leading try-scorer with 12. He was named the Aviva Premiership Player of the Season and went on to secure his place in Stuart Lancaster's newly named England squad for the tour to South America.
Wasps lock, Joe Launchbury, also picked up an award after being named the England Player of the Year for 2012-2013. Congratulations Christian and Joe!
